Daunte Wright’s family attorney says Black people are forced to ‘submit’ to police officers

The attorney for Daunte Wright’s family, Ben Crump, said on Thursday that his death during a traffic stop is the latest example of police treating Black citizens differently, stating Black people are forced to “submit” to law enforcement officers. This comes after ex-Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter was charged with second-degree manslaughter over the fatal shooting of Wright.
