Okanagan mothers speak out to save lives

Okanagan mothers who lost their children to drug overdoses are speaking out as B.C. marks a somber 5th year anniversary since the province declared a public health emergency due to the opioid epidemic.

Since then, illicit drugs have claimed the lives of more than 7,000 people in this province, and with the pandemic exacerbating the problem, we’re expected to see another year of record-shattering death tolls.

Shelby Thom reports on the urgent calls for action from family members who implore to spare others the grief they experience.
