Hockey Gives Blood: Edmonton physiotherapist’s horrific injuries highlight need for donations

Edmonton physiotherapist Alicia Souveny lost part of her leg — nearly lost her life — and lost an incredible amount of blood in a collision two years ago. Her husband works for the Oil Kings, which is a big supporter of the Hockey Gives Blood program. As John Sexsmith explains, the goal is to promote blood and stem cell donations among young athletes.
