Up to 250 gather at Peterborough park to protest Ontario stay-at-home order

An estimated 250 protesters gathered at Confederation Park in downtown Peterborough Saturday to continue voicing their opposition to Ontario’s stay-at-home order amid the coronavirus pandemic

Going with the theme “Enough is Enough,” the group gathered at the park across from city hall and lined George Street with placards demanding the provincial government lift restrictions they claim are hurting small businesses and individuals’ freedoms.

Participant Lorne Scanlon says it’s time people be permitted to “just starting living their lives.”
