Heavy smoke could be seen in the east end of Lindsay Wednesday night as crews worked to contain a house fire.
City of Kawartha Lakes firefighters were called to the home on Bond Street between Albert and Sussex street around 11:30 p.m.
When they arrived, firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames at both the side and back of the home.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been released.
It is unclear if any people or pets were home at the time.
