COVID-19: Manitoba limits use of AstraZeneca vaccine to people over 55 ‘out of an abundance of caution’

Dr. Joss Reimer, head of Manitoba’s vaccine implementation task force, said on Monday that “out of an abundance of caution,” the province is recommending the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine for those 55 and over, effective immediately. The move is in line with an expected change in recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI).
