Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urged the international community on Monday to take coordinated action and impose sanctions in China for its human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang to ensure the global concerns are heard by and responded to by the Chinese government. Both the U.S. and the U.K. joined Canada last week in sanctioning Chinese entities and individuals.
