Janine Sherman, a senior public servant with the Privy Council Office, told the House of Commons defence committee on Friday that she never told the national security advisor to the prime minister that she had been asked to look into a 2018 allegation against Gen. Jonathan Vance. She says she spoke with the Prime Minister’s Office about the matter, but would not say with whom.
