White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday said the COVID-19 “pandemic knows no borders” and as such, the U.S. will be loaning 1.5 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Canada and 2.5 million doses to Mexico. Psaki calls the loan “mission critical” to ending the pandemic. Psaki added that the U.S. has a total of 7 million “releasable vaccines” and as part of the loan, the U.S. could look for vaccine doses back in return.
