White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Wednesday that Trump’s administration’s actions in blaming China for the coronavirus and calling COVID-19 the “China virus” is in part to blame for rising anti-Asian racism incidents in the country, following a Tuesday night shooting in Atlanta that killed eight, six of whom were Asian women. Police are yet to determine whether the act was a hate crime.
