When asked on Monday if Toronto is experiencing the start of a third wave of spiking COVID-19 infection rates, chief medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa said “it’s still early to say,” but emphasized that “we actually have a great deal of control” in reducing case numbers by using self-protection and physical distancing measures.
