China warned the United States to “stop interfering” in its affairs, including in matters relating to Hong Kong, foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said Friday ahead of talks between diplomats of both countries, which Washington has said would be “difficult”. Lijian told reporters that China hopes the meeting can focus on cooperation.
