The Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre on Brealey Drive is set to undergo construction to repair the building’s plumbing.
That plumbing runs beneath the centre’s change rooms, and the city has proposed a redesign of the area which would do away with the traditional men’s and women’s changing areas, in favour of one large gender-neutral change room with 46 private stalls.
But the changes aren’t sitting well with everyone. The Committee for Change Room Choice recently presented a petition from city council, asking them to reconsider the proposal. Committee co-chair Lindsay Shaddy joined Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about the issue and what the committee wants to see.
