New Brunswick’s attorney general told MLAs this week she has been refused full access to the financial records of Vestcor to review its pay and performance, and requested their intervention to avoid a court fight with the body. While MLAs have voted in favour of having Vestcor appear before a legislative committee, Premier Higgs has said he’s not in favour of changing legislation to force Vestcor to submit to Kim Adair-MacPherson’s oversight.
