The U.S. has released an intelligence report looking into the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. When asked if he agrees with the intelligence report that the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was responsible for Khashoggi’s murder, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau on Friday said the government has been asking for a “transparent” inquiry on what happened to the journalist, calling his murder an attack on journalism and freedom of the press. “We do need to get to the bottom of it,” said Garneau of the situation.
