Peterborough Petes’ forward Liam Kirk made history in 2018 when he became the first hockey player born and trained in England to be drafted into the NHL.
This OHL season was supposed to be an important one for the 21-year-old.
He planned to return to the Petes for his overage year and had his sights set on securing an entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotoes.
But the coronavirus pandemic had other plans and now Kirk is making the most of the time off.
