Dr. Volker Gerdts, director of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) explained on Tuesday how VIDO is conducting research on COVID-19 variants and adjusting vaccines to the new variants. “We need to have manufacturing capacity both here in Saskatchewan and elsewhere, to ensure that in the future we have vaccines for these variants,” he stated.
