A Uyghur woman who joined two Conservative MPs on Monday in a virtual teleconference, ahead of a vote in the House of Commons to declare a genocide against Uyghurs in China’s Xinjiang province, said she was forcibly sterilized in 2019 and had become permanently handicapped and was in pain. She said she had decided “not to remain silent and speak the truth.”
