While most crimes in Vancouver were relatively stable over the past year, there’s one area where they’ve shown a shocking increase. According to a report to be presented to the police board Thursday, Anti-Asian hate crimes jumped more than 700 percent in 2020. And as Grace Ke reports, that has the premier highlighting the need for new legislation.
