During the ongoing impeachment trial of former U.S. President Donald Trump Trump in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, lead House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said that Trump “sent a clear message to supporters. He encouraged planning and conspiracies to his supporters to take over capitol buildings and threatened public officials who threatened to bow down to his political will.” Raskin added that Trump knew his most extreme supporters would show up in Washington “ready to fight like Hell for their hero.”
