Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday announced the federal government will be providing nearly $15 billion in funding for new public transit projects across the country over the next eight years, in order to deliver “efficient and modern” public transit systems, while helping in restarting the economy and fighting climate change, he said.
