During a vote in the Senate to move ahead with former president Donald Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial on Tuesday, Louisiana Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy, who had previously voted to block the trial on constitutional grounds, changed his vote, stating he had done so because “the House managers made a compelling, cogent case, and the president’s team did not.”
