On Tuesday, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell stood by comments he made the day before, calling Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene a “cancer” for the Republican Party. McConnell said he adequately spoke out about how he felt concerning any effort to define the Republican Party “in such a way.” Greene faced controversy over past false claims about the Sept. 11 terror attacks and school shootings.
