François-Philippe Champagne, minister of innovation, science and technology, provided a timeline Tuesday for the deal Canada has signed with Novavax to produce its COVID-19 vaccine, stating that construction on the facility that will produce the vaccine should be complete by the end of summer. He added that Canada “should be in a position to start producing vaccines” by the end of the year.
