Republican Sen. Susan Collins, joined by eight other GOP senators, said after a two-hour meeting Monday with President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris that they had had a “productive” discussion over COVID-19 relief. The senators proposed a separate deal from the one Biden would like to pass and had been invited to the meeting to discuss their ideas, but Collins added no deal had been reached though it had not been expected to happen that evening.
