Saturday Night Live, in its first episode of 2021, kicked off with a cold-open featuring Kate McKinnon hosting a show called “What still works?” There she questioned U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over various false claims, Gamestop’s majority shareholder over its recent surge in the stock market, and then Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey over the banning of several conservative voices. Also featured was O.J. Simpson, who got the COVID-19 vaccine before priority workers and NFL star Tom Brady. She eventually determined the government, stock market, U.S. vaccine rollout and social media didn’t work, but Tom Brady did.
