Edmonton company tracked over 12 million tweets sent to women candidates in U.S. Election

An Edmonton company helped play a role in the American election via social media. The goal of ParityBOT is to counteract online abuse aimed at female candidates with a positive tweet. Lana Cuthbertson, one of the creators, explained to Kim Smith how the company needed to set the threshold of toxicity much higher for the U.S. Election compared to other elections.
