Patrols were stepped up in the Plateau-Mont-Royal and Outremont boroughs of Montreal after police had to disperse several large gatherings at places of worship, including synagogues, on Friday and Saturday. As Olivia O’Malley reports, many in the community say they are ashamed of what happened.
