Canada will not get a single dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine this week. In an interview on ‘The West Block’ Canada’s Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Dominic LeBlanc tells Mercedes Stephenson, “We’re really hopeful that in the coming weeks, other vaccines may be approved by Health Canada as safe for use, AstraZeneca, perhaps Johnson & Johnson thereafter.” He says Canada can ‘hedge’ against delays if there is more access to vaccine options and suppliers.
