Another winter shelter opens in Kelowna due in large part to COVID-19

Another emergency shelter for the homeless in Kelowna is set to open soon –the third one this season. It’s a stark contrast to what happened last winter when finding suitable sites for winter shelters proved challenging and delayed openings. But this season –the added pressure of COVID-19 has prompted government officials to take swifter action. Klaudia van Emmerik reports.
