U.S. President Joe Biden’s nominee for Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, was confirmed by a Senate vote of 93-2 on Friday morning. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer before the vote said Lloyd has the “experience, vision and competence to run the largest agency in our government.”
