Speaking to reporters on Monday, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney slammed reports the incoming Joe Biden administration in the U.S. planned to block implementation of the cross-border Keystone XL pipeline. Kenney said the decision would endanger U.S. energy independence, framing the American decision as a choice to turn from a “close democratic ally” towards imports from “OPEC dictatorships.”
