U.S. Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, who is expected to become the chamber’s majority leader on Wednesday, said on Sunday that he and his party are working with Republicans to determine a plan for conducting an impeachment trial while also trying to conduct other business at the same time. He also called on his fellow senators to work to confirm president-elect Joe Biden’s cabinet nominees quickly, especially those involved in national security.
