Some U.S. House Republicans are joining the effort to impeach President Donald Trump on Wednesday, with the third-highest ranking GOP member Rep. Liz Cheney among them. There are still questions that linger, however, on whether Trump could be convicted this time by the Senate after reports top Republican Mitch McConnell had told associates he was glad the House brought forward impeachment charges and believes Trump committed impeachable offences.
