A Florida man was in federal court on Monday after he was believed to be seen in photos that went viral smiling and carrying the lectern of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during last week’s U.S. Capitol siege. Adam Johnson, a 36-year-old from Parrish, appeared before a U.S. Magistrate judge on charges of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building, theft of government property and violent entry and disorderly conduct. His lawyer said he is taking his charges “very seriously.”
