Washington D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser was asked Monday about permits for gathering being denied or cancelled due to the violence in the Capitol last week and because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Asked if all the public events regarding the inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden would be cancelled, Bowser said she believed the events “should be public.”
