Republicans of the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday blocked an effort by Democrats to immediately consider a resolution to call on Vice-President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office. The House will return Tuesday to bring the resolution to the floor for a vote. It will proceed with impeachment should Pence not respond within 24 hours.
