B.C. restaurants cope with shortened New Year’s Eve hours to sell liquor

Many bars and restaurants are scrambling to adjust to new regulations prohibiting liquor sales past 8 p.m. tonight. The short notice caught many of them off guard, and they say it will hurt sales. But as Paul Johnson reports, the provincial health officer explained she’s simply responding to concerns that came from the industry.
