Rick Hillier, head of the Ontario COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force, addressed the pause in COVID-19 vaccinations over the Christmas holiday, saying “in hindsight it was the wrong decision,” and adding that they “will get better faster.” The Ontario government said it had cut back on administering vaccines during the Christmas holidays due to staff shortages.
