An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale struck central Croatia on Tuesday, killing a child, injuring many people and causing widespread damage, officials said. Social media footage showed damaged buildings, rubble strewn across the streets, army troops deployed and a house with a roof caved in. The earthquake was also felt in neighbouring Slovenia, where damage was caused to the Slovenian National Assembly building.
