About 30 staff from long-term care homes were among the first people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Hamilton on Wednesday. Merdina Nangle-Palmer, a personal support worker and chief steward at Parkview Nursing Centre, was the very first person to get the shot and said it was a “pleasure” to roll up her sleeve and get it done.
