French police officers died in ‘despicable circumstances,’ interior minister says

France’s interior minister Gérald Darmanin said on Wednesday that three French police officers, who were shot dead by a man when they arrived at a home in Saint-Just, died under what he called “despicable circumstances.” Police said on Wednesday that the officers were responding to a domestic violence call.
