Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Tuesday that although “there is a lot to be hopeful about,” her “big worry” is that Canada “remains on the trajectory for an even stronger” COVID-19 resurgence over the next two months. Tam called it a “perilous time,” and added that public health measures only work if they are adhered to “to the best of our ability.”
