A Halifax family is calling for Nova Scotians to donate blood this holiday season, one year after losing a loved one to blood cancer on Christmas Day. Canadian Blood Services tells reporter Elizabeth McSheffrey that 500 donors are needed in the province to meet projected demand between Dec. 21, 2020 and Jan. 4, 2021.
