School bus parade supports bus driver who witnessed children struck by vehicle north of Port Hope

More than 60 school bus drivers showed their support Thursday for their colleague, who had stopped to pick-up two children when they were struck by a vehicle near Campbellcroft, north of Port Hope, earlier this month.

The group of drivers headed north on County Road 28 from Port Hope, and then by the woman’s home.

On Dec. 2, two children were waiting for the school bus when they were hit by a car on the 7th Line.

12-year-old Cormac Kerin died at the scene on while his 10-year-old sister Shea was airlifted to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto where she remains.

OPP continue to investigate the collision.
