A woman was charged with animal cruelty after she threw a dog from the second-floor balcony of a motel in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Dec. 14. The dog, which police named Miracle, didn’t sustain any serious injuries from the fall, but an X-ray revealed she had a sewing needle lodged in her right thigh.
