Liquor store thefts are a serious, ongoing problem in Edmonton and it doesn’t seem thieves are slowing down. The Edmonton Police Service is hoping to tackle the issue by expanding the PatronScan liquor store ID scanning pilot project at ALCANNA stores, which saw crime go down 93 per cent at participating locations.
