Coronavirus: New York mayor says city shutdown could come ‘in the weeks ahead’

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Tuesday that another citywide shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic could come in a few weeks. While the final decision of a shutdown belongs to New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo, de Blasio suggested the shutdown could be implemented “right after Christmas.”
