It’s been a tough year for everyone, including local food banks. At Kawartha Food Share, every dollar donated can usually purchase about 6 dollars of food. However, with the cost of food rising, the food bank says it’s become increasingly more difficult to stretch that dollar. Executive Director, Ashlee Aitken, joined Global News Morning Peterborough to discuss the need heading into the holiday season.
