Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams said Thursday that while lockdowns in Toronto and Peel Region have slowed the spread of the coronavirus, the restrictions have not had the effect officials would have liked. “The data shows we’re slowing the rate of increase, but we have to do better than that,” he said.
